Exciting Times for the Bar Industry
Co-located show Restaurant, Pub & Bar Asia (RPB Asia) 2019 played host to the 31st National Cocktail Competition by the Association of Bartenders & Sommeliers Singapore (ABSS) – underscoring RPB Asia’s position as Southeast Asia’s only trade show dedicated to the restaurant, pub and bar community.
To celebrate Singapore’s bicentennial, the top four bartenders in the NCC Classic Category were also paired with four renowned bartenders in Singapore for the SG Signature Cocktail Competition on the final day and tasked to create a brand-new iconic drink for the nation.
Through these competitions, RPB Asia demonstrates an elevated focus on growing local and regional talent, incorporating greater input from industry leaders as well as consumers and highlighting the best of the fast-evolving industry.
Organised in association with FoodBev Media, the 2nd annual Asia Food Innovation Awards are designed to recognise and reward excellence in food industry innovation, from manufacturing to ingredients, packaging and finished products.
Winners of the Asia Food Innovation Awards were announced at SFFA/ RPB Asia on 18 July 2019.

Visiting Singapore
Singapore is much more than the sum of its numerous attractions. It’s constantly evolving, reinventing, and reimagining itself, with people who are passionate about creating new possibilities.
It’s where foodies, explorers, collectors, action seekers, culture shapers, and socialisers meet―and new experiences are created every day.
Treat yourself to delicacies at Michelin-starred restaurants. But do save some tummy space for the long and diverse list of must-tries―from lip-smacking dishes by time-tested hawker heroes to scrumptious creations by award-winning homegrown chefs.
Indulge in heritage brands and uncover the local design scene, led by homegrown and internationally-recognised designers and trendsetters. Visit
international flagship stores along Orchard Road for luxury brands. Or if you’d prefer, head to our ethnic enclaves for a memorabilia of different cultural origins and influences.
Saturated with greenery, heritage and architecture, our garden city entices the ardent explorer with countless adventures. To uncover the best historic buildings that Singapore preserves, simply follow the checklist from Singapore Tourism Board and become your own tour guide.
Don’t stop at finding out what you can do when you visit. Be inspired by Singapore’s Passion Ambassadors and let them show you what you can be when you are here. Because Singapore is more than just a destination, it is where passion is made possible.
