The Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association (SFMA) is a professional and active trade association formed in 1967 by a small group of like-minded local food manufacturers with the purpose of developing and promoting the local food manufacturing industry. Members comprise small family concerns, small-and-medium enterprises, public listed companies, traders and various supplier companies related to food industry.
With over 300 members, SFMA has evolved into the apex body for the food manufacturing industry of Singapore and is well-recognized and endorsed by Singapore governing bodies like International Enterprise Singapore (IE) and SPRING Singapore.
Activities organised by SFMA includes exhibitions, seminars, conferences, workshops, trade mission, networking & business matching sessions.

The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) is an awarding body and registered charity devoted to the development and delivery of qualifications and courses in wines and spirits. Established in 1969 for the UK wine trade, WSET has since grown to become the global industry leader.
As an independent, not-for-profit organisation, our educational products offer impartial and sound learning on which individuals and businesses can build knowledge and expertise.
WSET qualifications are available through a network of over 700 Approved Programme Providers (APPs) working in over 70 countries and 19 languages.
We also run our own flagship school, WSET School London from our headquarters on Bermondsey Street, London. The school offers all nine WSET qualifications alongside tasting sessions and bespoke programmes.
Association of Bartenders & Sommeliers Singapore (ABSS), formerly known as Association of Bartenders, was first established in 1986 by a group of like-minded beverage managers, sharing a vision to form an association for the bartenders in the industry. ABSS has since held a number of courses and competitions for the bartenders and sommeliers, and is highly regarded by the industry.
Created in 1954 in Villeneuve Loubet, the birthplace of Auguste Escoffier, Disciples Escoffier International is the premier gastronomic society in France to maintain the good name and the traditions of French cuisine. Today, the association counts over 30,000 members in 26 countries worldwide.
The Asian branch of Disciples Escoffier International was founded in 2006 in Shanghai. Behind it was a man, Robert Fontana who settled in China in 1997 as Chef, invested in the gastronomic world and in the community life. Since 2006, Disciples Escoffier International Asia aims at transmitting the Memory of Auguste Escoffier through apprenticeship for young talents. The association contributes to the development of professional training of kitchen chefs while working on perfecting gastronomic art through series of demonstrations, courses, competitions and exchanges. To train young generations and make them adapt to the evolution of this profession
Each of the actions initiated and taken by the Association respects the Memory of Auguste Escoffier and remains in line with their motto: “Transmission and Evolution of Cuisine and Cooking”.
The Indonesian Hotel General Manager (IHGM) is a group of non commercial General Manager who is willing to share the knowledge and together learn to be a great leader. As the official voice of Indonesian’s Hotel GM, the IHGM represents the collective views of the industry on all matters affecting hotel operation. It also performs a consultative role in the proposed legislation arising from new Government policies and measures.
The Hospitality Purchasing Association Singapore (HPA) serves as a networking channel between purchasing professionals, suppliers as well as other hospitality counterparts. The HPA prides itself in the building of a strong relationship between members and the industry players. The Association continually strives to organise more educational events and activities to enhance the competency, skills levels and knowledge of our members.
Jakarta Hotels Association, consists of the finest 3, 4 & 5 star Hotels in Jakarta, Indonesia. JHA or known as JIHA previously was notarized and formally established in the first quarter of 2000 replacing the previous informal General Managers’ organization or known as Casa Grande. With 47 active members, JHA works along similar lines as other International Hotel Associations where members proactively address common issues and opportunities that impact to the hotel industry in Jakarta.
JHA built communication and maintain relationship with both Tourism and Government Agencies and ensure that important issues are well distribute to all members in an accurate and timely manner.
Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) was established in 1974. Since its inception, MAH has constantly enhanced the hotel and tourism industry by integrating member hotels throughout Malaysia. To date, MAH has over 900 members under 13 chapters and partnerships with both the private sectors and Government agencies such as the Ministry of Tourism. Being officially recognised as a National Hotel Association, MAH is committed to the exacting standards of service quality acknowledged by Malaysia and beyond.
As the pioneer and largest F&B Association in Singapore, Restaurant Association of Singapore (RAS) has more than 350 members, representing about 600 brands that operate close to 3,000 outlets. Their members comprise a good mix of business models such as restaurants, caterers, fast foods and food courts, with various cuisine types, thus providing a wholesome view and opinion, with the common goal to propel the industry forward.
Since 1980, RAS has acted as a collective voice for the F&B industry and strives to advance the industry through various platforms such as bridging a closer working relationships between businesses and government agencies, networking events for members, recognition and awards platforms and administering programmes to drive business success.
The Singapore Halal Culinary Federation is made up of culinary and service professionals with a purpose to educate the culinary world on the dynamism of Halal food and to teach and involve Food Service Providers on service quality and best practices required to achieve higher business margins by going Halal. Its past affiliation with the World Association of Chefs Society (WACS), Singapore Chefs Association (SCA), Singapore Pastry Alliance (SPA) and the Singapore Junior Chefs Club has strengthen its position and commitment to enhance the food scene locally and globally.
The federation is the first of its kind worldwide to have incorporated other professions in the food & beverage as well as the hospitality industry to be partners and members. Apart from chefs, the circle of professionals includes the likes of Coffee/Tea Connoisseur, F&B Caterers, Food Technologist, Nutritionist, Food Business Consultant, Hospitality, Lifestyle and Lifeskills Trainer.
