Alex Liau
President, Hospitality Purchasing Association and Director of Purchasing, The Westin Singapore

Starting from waiting tables in 1995, Alex went on to be part of hotel opening teams of brands of their first in SEA – Marriott, The St Regis and Capella Hotels. After a 12year absence, he was part of Westin’s brand return to Singapore. He has been involved in opening or conversion of properties across Asia Pacific, lending advice and experience.

Alex is the current president of the Hospitality Purchasing Association which holds membership of over 100 professionals. He holds an MBA, University of Leicester (2004) and is a member of Mensa International (1991). He is a panel judge in ProcureCon Asia 2019.

Andy Griffiths
Head of Operations and Creative, Idlewild
Kiwi-born Andy Griffiths joins Idlewild fresh from a stint as Head of Mixology for award-winning Australian hospitality firm, The Speakeasy Group. He was previously cocktail curator at Cookie, one of Melbourne’s most enduring dining and drinking establishments, for seven years. During this time, Andy was crowned Global Cocktail Champion for Angostura in 2011 and served as their Global Brand Ambassador for a year.

Cheong Hai Poh
President, International Food and Beverage Association
Hai Poh brings a wealth of international hospitality experience spanning more than 28 years in 10 cities. With a proven track record of business, operational and reputational risk management expertise, he provides leadership and strategic planning to all departments in the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, in support of the Millennium Hotels and Resorts Group.

Eve Felder
Managing Director, Culinary Institute of America, Singapore (CIA, SG)
Eve Felder is the only female culinary associate dean, leading a team of 45 chef faculty in developing curriculum and implementing operational processes for skill based laboratories, production kitchens, global flavors and techniques classes and for 3 public restaurants. She also provides coaching and mentorship to all newly hired culinary faculty. Eve developed the Women in Leadership initiative at the CIA and coordinated multiple industry forums with leaders in the foodservice industry for 2800 students and staff members at the CIA.

Indra Kantono
Director and Co-Founder, Jigger & Pony
Indra Kantono is Director and Co-Founder of Jigger & Pony. First opened in 2013, the bar has received global acclaim and has been ranked in Asia’s 50 Best Bars for 2016 and 2017. The Group has grown in quick succession to encompass 5 distinct F&B brands in Singapore with Sugarhall (steakhouse & rum bar), Humpback (oyster & seafood restaurant), The Flagship (cocktail & whisky bar) and Gibson Cocktail Bar. Both Sugarhall and Gibson ranked in Asia’s 50 Best Bars for 2016 and 2017, and Gibson shortlisted in the Top 4 for Best New International Cocktail Bar by Tales of the Cocktail.

Liling Ong
Restaurateur, Bar Cicheti & Fynn’s
Liling Ong is the owner of three restaurant ventures in Singapore, each showcasing her passion for creating extraordinary experiences. Cicheti and Bar Cicheti combine her love for rich, regional Italian cuisine and boutique wines, while Fynn’s brings together global flavours with classic Australian favourites. Only 32 years of age, this young businesswoman plans to add to her restaurant portfolio other distinctive, upmarket F+B experiences in Singapore and abroad.

Michael Habboush
Director, Digital Finance, KPMG
Michael leads the consumer sector for KPMG Consulting in Singapore and supports his clients across the region in their digital finance transformation and growth ambitions. He has a history of delivering cross-country engagements for tier 1 FMCG and retail organisations as well as enabling investments in and growth of specialty producers.

Tron Young
Founder, The Bar Awards
Tron established the Singapore Bar Industry Accord (SBIA) in 2014 – to highlight professionals, their skills, passion and dedication to their craft, bringing recognition to the men and women of the bar community. The Bar Awards happens across Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.

Andrew Ing
COO, The Lo & Behold Group
Andrew carries over 30 years of industry experience in marketing, events, F&B/nightlife operations and management to The Lo & Behold Group. He was formerly the marketing manager of Zouk where he created and produced the first ZoukOut festival in 2000. He is currently the Secretary of the Singapore Nightlife Business Association and a Management Committee member of the Restaurant Association of Singapore (RAS).

Chef Edmund Toh
President, Disciples Escoffier International – Singapore Delegation
Vice President, Culinary, Iron Chef F&B Pte Ltd

Chef Edmund was previously the Assistant Vice President of Food & Beverage Culinary at Resorts World Sentosa for five years where he was responsible for more than 30 kitchens in Singapore’s first integrated resort, before moving onto Rasel Catering Singapore and Purple Sage Group as the Director of Culinary. He is also an Advisory Chef for SHATEC Singapore, an Honorary President of Singapore Chefs’ Association and a Mentor Chef for Singapore’s award-winning National Culinary Team since 2014.

Cheryl Tiu
World’s 50 Best Restaurants Taste Hunter, Lifestyle Journalist

Cheryl Tiu is a lifestyle journalist and media personality.  She is also the founder of Cross Cultures, an events platform that promotes the exchange of cultures through food with the aim of building a more global community, working with everyone from World’s 50 Best and Michelin-starred restaurants to food movements. In addition to running her media platform (cheryltiu.com), Cheryl is also a Tastehunter for the World’s 50 Best Restaurants and Bars and columnist for Forbes USA and Philippine Star. Her work has been recognized by multiple media publications and awards bodies, including Influence Asia, which named her Top Food Influencer 2017 (Philippines), and Asia Tatler, which listed her—for three consecutive years (2016-2018)—on their Generation T, as one of the Philippines’ “brightest innovators, talents, visionaries and influencers..”

Emmanuel Benardos
General Manager, Food & Beverage, Fairmont Singapore & Swissôtel The Stamford
With over 23 years of experience, seasoned hospitality professional Emmanuel Benardos has extensive experience in the management of all aspects from food and beverage to hotel, leisure and entertainment. In his current role as General Manager, Food & Beverage, Emmanuel is responsible for the strategic direction and operations of over 15 distinctive restaurants and bars within Fairmont Singapore & Swissôtel The Stamford.

Gan Guo Yi
Hospitality Director and Co-Founder, Jigger & Pony
Gan Guo Yi is the Hospitality Director and Co-Founder of Jigger & Pony, Singapore’s celebrated classics cocktail bar. First opened in 2013, the bar has received global acclaim and has been listed on the prestigious Asia’s 50 Best Bars list for three years running (#8 in 2016, #21 in 2017, and #42 in 2018). The Group states its purpose clearly to develop spaces in the community where people can find comfort, forge friendships and share happiness.

Jeremy Nguee
Owner, Preparazzi and Batu Lesung
Culinary artist and food innovator, Jeremy is one of Singapore’s rising culinary stars and an evangelist of modern Singaporean cuisine. As an industry practitioner, his inventive approach to Asian cuisine has taken him globally from St. Petersburg, Russia to Jakarta, Indonesia. He is the chef-owner of award-winning gourmet caterer Preparazzi and the creator of Batu Lesung Spice Company.

Loh Lik Peng
Founder, Unlisted Collection
Lik Peng is the founding director of the Unlisted Collection; which boasts a stable of F&B and hospitality establishments, including new restaurants Nouri (in Singapore), Londrino (in London), Oxalis (in Shanghai) and A1 (in Sydney). He is a member of the Singapore Tourism Board’s Tourism Consultative Council and was recently awarded the World Gourmet Summit’s “Lifetime Achievement Award”.
