SFFA and RPB Asia Partner With Top Industry Experts To Shape Programming for Third Edition
Newly launched Industry Ambassadors initiative aims to tap expertise and experience of industry frontrunners to best cater to SFFA and RPB Asia exhibitors and visitors
SINGAPORE, 9 January 2019 – For its third edition from 17 – 19 July this year, Southeast Asia’s leading trade shows for artisan and gourmet fine food and drink, Speciality & Fine Food Asia (SFFA) and Restaurant Pub & Bar (RPB) Asia will engage with top industry leaders to gather feedback and content ideas to fine-tune show offerings and features.
This new approach – incorporating up to date, on-ground feedback from experts in various fields – allows for a more robust program that is reflective of industry trends, explores solutions to real-life challenges and equips visitors with the latest market content and insider knowledge to drive sustained growth and longevity in the competitive Southeast Asian HORECA landscape.
Industry Ambassadors have been selected from a range of key sectors including hospitality, retail and foodservice. Each will contribute their expertise and experience to ensure the various visitor attractions and themes are relevant in order to better meet the needs of both suppliers and buyers at the show.
“Having these industry heavyweights come on board is a tremendous milestone for SFFA and RPB Asia that underscores our position as one of the leading speciality food and drink tradeshows in Southeast Asia,” says Christopher McCuin, Managing Director, Montgomery Asia. “All of them are well respected in the business and are best placed to provide unique perspectives and we are very much looking forward to working closely with them to develop more diverse show offerings and drive industry growth in the region.”
Exhibitors and visitors can also hear directly from these ambassadors at the event through panel discussions, by visiting the SFFA and RPB Asia websites and following the shows’ social media platforms. Each ambassador will share their views on the industry from personal anecdotes and experiences to business advice and their thoughts on up-and-coming trends and opportunities to look out for. Networking opportunities will also be available during show days after selected panel discussions.
The line-up of Industry Ambassadors includes Loh Lik Peng, Founder of the Unlisted Collection; Andrew Ing, COO of The Lo & Behold Group; Tron Young, Founder of the Singapore Bar Awards; Jeremy Nguee, Owner of Preparazzi and Batu Lesung; Emmanuel Benardos, General Manager, Food & Beverage at Fairmont Singapore & Swissôtel The Stamford; Alex Liau, President of the Hospitality Purchasing Association and Director of Purchasing at The Westin Singapore; Cheong Hai Poh, President of the International Food and Beverage Association and GM of Grand Copthorne Waterfront; and Michael Habboush, Senior Director at KPMG.
